Orders where issue recently midfiying war plan Scrabbled eggs... As turn nine winds down we race through the sout hand north towrda Smolensk and Kiev, while Bypassing the Major river inrout to Lenn. Commandoes seize vital links ... panzers nearing exhustion!.. we need more supply!

I see in the aars how poeple are catious and the fronts seem to be Lenn Smolensk Korsun through the first 6 months, my goal is to crack those lines as quickly as possible, shifting the focues of attack and keeping my oponent unsure of my next bold, sic, moves. any tips warnings? This will be number three as G, the first one died a computer related death and number two I screwed as the Interdiction thing I had backwards.

I have being playing FiTe against a wise man from New Zealand.
My experience back in the late 90's and early 2000's was playing overlord as the Germans. So now I am playing this scenario and am learning much.
I am late in getting to this forum but I am going to discuss this because I need help and hints.
This is our second game, we quit the earlier one and restarted. My lack of aggression would make Yoda happy but it's made for a boring game. In our second restart I did decent the first month. But again, it slows down on an north-south axis from Narva-Veliki Luki-somewhere between Orsha and Smolensk-Gomel-Kiev-Kherson on the Dnepr.
Part of the issue for me is turn mechanics which I am reading up on but secondly the Soviet player is playing with hindsight. Instead of counter-attacking and holding the player knows to flee and absorb the punch.
Questions that come up for me are in regards to strategy are as follows-
1. Do you risk abandoning the idea of a continuous line to maximize units for a massive assault?
2. Should you play turns in in a sequence like turn A you move into position and turn B you attack and hopefully get multiple rounds?
3. Am I in over my head?
4. Where to focus the main attack? Again, the historical question, Leningrad? Moscow? Or somewhere else?
5. How do you deal with the Soviet hindsight?

What I would love is this scenarious starting in late December 41.
There is no doubt I need more practice but this FITE is a dream come true. It will take a long time to get decent at this.
