Camps and Sieges

Post by Tony Brooks »

Hi. New player to Forge of Freedom. Couple of problems when playing the basic game as a Union payer. First. I can find the camps build in any city or any where else for that matter. Can someone help on that, as the instructions make clear reference to it as do the end of turn reports i.e. no reinforcements.

Second. I have a number of corps/armies in Confederate provinces which have Rebel forts still shown. However every time I select begin siege it comes up with 'cancel'. I have succesfully taken one fort early in the game but now cant seem to begin any more sieges. The whole line of forts ie Island No 10 onwards etc seem impervious to my occupying forces?

(I moved this thread because the Support sub-forum is only for technical issues, bugs, etc.)

Regarding camps, you can't build them when playing the "basic" game -- they're an advanced building type. Instead, you get a steady stream of replacement troops (a few thousand per turn, I think).

As for the forts, I don't have enough information to figure out what you're doing wrong. (Do these forts still have garrisons, or is there a chance that they're empty, and you can just insert your own brigades?)
