Idly waiting for the Holy Grail

One day we will see it: The Holy Grail of historical gaming

Complete modularization to include

Grand political/strategy multi-player games like Empire in Arms. Scale is in months

Data can then be passed in standardized formats to a choice of Grand Strategy games where the scale is in days and you fight in detailed campaign mode w logistics etc.

Data can then be passed do as required to any Grand Tactical game of your choosing to resolve battles. Scale is in 20 minutes etc (or maybe even in real time)

Data could even be passed down to battalion/regimental level games where time is in minutes

...and it all translates back and forth smoothly so you can take a datapack form any game and translate it into a working scenario for another.

And why doesn't it include ability to go down to 1 man scale, and play a RT FPS that impact the tac battle ? [:D]
