Sorry -- it's been a series of slow news days in this area lately. Even Vahauser has been quiet.

To be honest, I haven't fired up the game in weeks.

PS m10bob, you are correct -- blood sugar levels can do odd things to one's moods. You guys know me all too well.

The forum may not be perky with new stuff, but SPWAW stays strong.
 
I must be in my 6th year of playing a weekly online game with a pal.  We are astonished by the variety and flexibility of this game.  Give each side a set of points.  Establish limits as you choose. (That'll take care of those tank fleets.) Pick a map, and off you go.  (This, of course, doesn't even consider the fun of playing canned scenarios or building our own.)
 
And... Great News!... I just met a new neighbor who loves wargaming.  He had never seen SPWAW.  I downloaded the game and the patches for him, and he reports we have another additon to the family of SPWAW gamers.
 
(By the way, my gaming pal is a retired Marine LTC.  We had one heck of a time with a large scenario we built for the Pacific.  He is a fine palyer, but I can always count on his being overly aggressive.  Do you think it had anything to do with his training? [;)] )
