I'am a bit disappointed with series when it comes to the Rising Sun edition!

Post by Miamieagle »

I bought this series many years a go. I though it was great at the time but I was hopping that see some improvement especialy in the the Rising Edition since this edition seem to be step daughter of the other two. It had less scenerious and less campaigns and units available than the other two. I was hoping to find Indian and Australian units plus Dutch units in this new upgraded version. What I found was it was basicaly the same format that I had in the late ninties when I first bought this this series.

I thought when I read your adverticement that their would be new Campaigns representing the Battle of Nomohan and the campaign in Manchuria 1945. A campaign representing the Chinese Incident and the Invation of Indonesia in 1942 by the Japanese. I found none of this capapaigns nor Nationalities available in the Quick map editor or Scenario Editor.

I was more than a bit disappionted.

Where is the Indochina map?

I hope you can correct this matter with a new patch please.

I would like to hear from the developers on this matter!

It will only make this series better by keeping it more balance in representing World war two better.

Thank very much!

In your adverticement it says Rising Sun brings:For Rising Sun: French Indochina, the Netherlands East Indies, Thailand, Nationalist and Communist China, and the Soviet Union. Not only can traditional Allied versus Axis be played, but scenarios can be created depicting an early Soviet/Western Allies confrontation, not only in Europe, but also in the Far East.It also says Not only can traditional Allied versus Axis be played, but scenarios can be created depicting an early Soviet/Western Allies confrontation, not only in Europe, but also in the Far East.

Please allows us to create this scenerious thrught the quick scenerios editor by making this units available.

Creating a map from scratch takes a lot of time and most of us usually do not have in this hectik society.

Thank you ahead of time!

A list of what is included with Rising Sun is located here:

I beleive there are only a few new scenarios, no new campaigns that I am aware of.

The Quick map does not have any of the new countries added to them (in any of the games). To see the new countries you will have to use the OOB Editor.

Sorry to hear that, hope that if you look a little deeper you'll see the new units and things that have been added.

Where is the Indochina map?

Over at theblitz.org wargame club, Curt Cabbage AKA Mr. Guberman has posted some scenarios with the Dutch, Japanese, Brits with Indians, and Thai. Join the club and look for them in the message board.

Since the units are in the Matrix edition, it won't be long before old time designers come back to the games and start making scenarios with the new units.
Conflict of Heroes "Most games are like checkers or chess and some have dice and cards involved too. This game plays like checkers but you think like chess and the dice and cards can change everything in real time."

When I go to the Blitz, I can find the scenario downloads for the various games (WF, EF, RS), but all I see are folders with the briefest of names. Is there a way to know what you're getting without downloading and opening? I believe I've had similar problems with the Wargamer. If you know what you're looking for, it'll be there, but if you're just shopping around for something to catch your interest, it's a little more difficult. Is there some step I'm missing?

If you click on the scenario name, it will take you to a further briefing page, giving you all the information you need to know about the scenario. If it is available for download, there will be a "Download the Scenario" link to press.
