Turn 13, Sep 1940

1 year anniversay of the war. German reinforcements pour into Britain. Artillery shells Birmingham and the city is assaulted on 3 sides. I capture and hope to hold.

My uboats spot a destroyer group off the coast of Wales. I send dive bombers to sink them.

In the Balkans, my army dispatches a corps guarding the approach to Belgrade. I am now at the outskirts of the city and plan to assault next turn. Units are also converging from the South.

In Greece, I pour reinforcements in from the Gulf of Corinth. The Royal Navy moves to support Athens, so I must withdraw my weaker Italian fleet. I did some nice damage to supply lines coming from Athens.

Now that I know the location of the British fleet, I can begin my approach to Alexandria.

On the first look the situation looked really bad for my western forces.
But step by step i realized that my forces in England are still in good shape and the worst
happened was the loss of Birmingham.

First thing i did was to look for the most dangerous german units and if they are in range of own
fighter cover. I found o powerful german tank unit SE of Birmingham (4 light tank II with 100XP)
which was not covered. I sent divebombers that destroyed 75% of these tanks.

I then used my artillery and ship artillery to soften up the defense in Birmingham. The following ground attack
was successful and my troops marched in again.

SE of Manchester i saw another dangerous german attack group (47th corps). Attacked it by divebombers and artillery.
Then a ground attack from 3 directions. It had to retreat, but caused nice losses among my attackers.

Near Athens i attacked the germans to reopen the road to Athens. German 96th corps had to retreat under high losses.

A last good opportunity for my planes has been the 99th corps (the most northen one on Toms first screen).
Sent my fighters in which did a good job. All these corps lost most of their combat value. Now since my UK defense is not longer a secret
i attach a screen.
