Oh sweet Jesus I tremble at the very thought of what Terminus might answer here. God be with the days we only bitched about the lack of patches [:D]

You are aware, Hoepner, that there are no women around here, right? No gullible young girls with unbelievably low standards? That sort of avatar really needs to be taken somewhere else...

Didn't "they" confirm a while ago that WitP code has already been recycled a couple of times, and that it is by now "spaghetti code" because of all these revisions? If that's the case, it's probably easier to write new code than to alter WitP code another time.
True, but what if they are not recycling it as WitP but as a Med-war game?
RE: Possible WITP news?
To repeat what I said in the other thread, my current guess is that "Carrier Force," the carrier-combat upgrade for Uncommon Valor, will be woven into WITP as well, perhaps as an optional ruleset. As I recall, that's supposed to introduce a measure of tactical carrier combat into UV, allowing us more control over carrier actions. But I have absolutely no inside information, so I'm probably completely wrong.

Here it's not "P.C."..., it's POLITICALLY SCHITZOPHRENIC. Our brain-dead Congress approves spending hundreds of millions to discourage everyone from smoking..., while with the other hand using increased Tobacco Taxes to finance everything from Housing to Health Care. So if smokers every "get healthy", our Health Care system will collapse. These clowns could screw up a wet dream....

If we're going to stray into this territory (BAD Hoepner, BAD!), I'll say that I couldn't care less about other people smoking. I would never do it myself, but I don't decide what other people should choose for their cause of death...

Heck ya! In fact, to help support the health care system in America, I'm even willing to install a smoke for those brave souls - puffing for the good of all their fellow citizens - Gawd Bless America!

Tobacco is a buisness everywhere. As soon as Tobacco will be de-legalized there will be another "legalized" drug that will feed governors' pockets.....
You talk about U.S., but here in Europe it's pretty the same. In Italy a packet of Marlboro costs 4.10 euros. Out of this sum, something like 2.5 euros goes to the State in taxes...[:)]

RE: Possible WITP news?
Actually epidemiologically speaking the last research I saw showed that smokers were actually a net benefit to the health care service in the NHS and Ireland ( almost entirely public health care services ) as smokers tend to die significantly younger ( on average ) from illnesses which tend to run shorter courses than they would die from if they didn't smoke.
The end result is that over the course of 45 years they pay more tax than a non-smoking 45 year old AND when they die at 45 from lung cancer ( inoperable and, for the sake of argument, an illness which kills them within 6 months of diagnosis ) their treatment costs over those 6 months are MUCH less than it would cost to treat them for the myriad niggles and illnesses which they would, otherwise, have suffered over the next 25 to 30 years.
Obviously things might be different in America though.

And that's just the "admitted direct tax". To actually produce a pack of Marlboro's costs less than 75 cents US..., and most of the difference is "indirect tax". We fought a Revolution and a Civil War over the idea of individual freedom..., only to lose it the battle against creeping socialism and vote buying on the part of our elected idiots. I think it was de Touceville [sic] who predicted that American Democracy would last just as long as it took our elected officials to discover that they could bribe the public with it's own money.....

RE: Possible WITP news?
Two men in a pub
Norman Is your wife a...goer...eh? Know what I mean? Know what I mean? Nudge nudge. Nudge nudge. Know what I mean? Say no more...know what I mean?
Him I beg your pardon?
Norman Your wife...does she, er, does she 'go' - eh? eh? eh? Know what I mean, know what I mean? Nudge nudge. Say no more.
Him Well, she sometimes goes, yes.
Norman I bet she does. I bet she does. I bet she does. Know what I mean? Nudge nudge.
Him I'm sorry, I don't quite follow you.
Norman Follow me. Follow me. I like that. That's good. A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat, eh? (elbow gesture; rubs it)
Him Are you trying to sell something?
Norman Selling, selling. Very good. Very good. (hand tilting quickly) Oh, wicked. Wicked. You're wicked. Eh? Know what I mean. Know what I mean? Nudge nudge. Know what I mean? Nudge nudge. Nudge nudge. (leaning over to him, making eye gesture; speaks slowly) Say...no...more. (leans back as if having imparted a great secret)
Him But...
Norman (stops him with finger which he lays alongside nose; gives slight tap) Your wife is she, eh... is she a sport. Eh?
Him She likes sport, yes!
Norman I bet she does, I bet she does!
Him She is very fond of cricket, as a matter of fact.
Norman (leans across, looking away) Who isn't, eh? Know what I mean. Likes games, likes games. Knew she would. Knew she would. Knew she would. Likes games, eh? She's been around, eh? Been around?
Him She's traveled. She's from Purley.
Norman Oh...oh. Say no more, say no more. Say no more - Purley, say no more. Purley, eh? Know what I mean, know what I mean. Say no more.
Him (about to speak; can't think of anything to say)
Norman (leers, grinning) Your wife interested in er... (waggles head, leans across) photographs, eh? Know what I mean? Photographs, 'he asked him knowingly'.
Him Photography?
Norman Yes. Nudge nudge. Snap snap. Grin grin, wink wink, say no more?
Him Holiday snaps?
Norman Could be, could be taken on holiday. Could be yes - swimming costumes. Know what I mean. Candid photography. Know what I mean, nudge nudge.
Him No, no we don't have a camera.
Norman Oh. Still (slaps hands lightly twice) Woah! Eh? Wo-oah! Eh?
Him Look, are you insinuating something?
Norman Oh...no...no... Yes.
Him Well?
Norman Well. I mean. Er, I mean. You're a man of the world, aren't you...I mean, er, you've er... you've been there haven't you...I mean you've been around...eh?
Him What do you mean?
Norman Well I mean like you've er...you've done it...I mean like, you know...you've...er...you've slept...with a lady.
Him Yes.
Norman What's it like?
