What a game **************

Post by elmerlee »

I'm starting to get the hang of some things offered by this game and at this point I can only say it is astounding. What a job was done in the development. And already a first patch.

I've always wanted to see an editor this deep and it may be so interesting to work with I'll spend too much time building and not enough playing. And after a little effort it isn't all that tedious either. The map-making is a stroke of genius.

I passed on 3 or 4 Matrix games I would ordinarly have purchased over the past year, no need to mention why, but I'm sure glad that AT came along.

Agreed, love this game!

I've kinda gone into embarrassing fanboy mode in some of my last posts so I'm trying to tone it down a bit before I'm written off as the village idiot of the forum who can't stop gushing

But that being said this game still has me in it's addictive grasp at the moment and I foresee that state of affairs continuing until quite possibly the end of the universe as we know it [:D]

I can only agree with the above. Now if only we could introduce the 48-hour day, so I could have some more time to play...[:D]

I am now past the initial learning curve and looking for the "edge" details that will help me keep up with better pbem player etc.
I found some interesting things, you set % choices for combat and interdiction.
You can daisy chain command, I assume supplies flow down the line.
fog can really mess your mind LOL!
playing a bit of pac war and Alot of war in Europe.. well done

still trying to get builds supply pp research all down, seems I am chasing my tail at times!

One thing I would like, and maybe I missed it , is a little more detail on how the differnt sub units interact duringthe combat rounds. I assume the more AP the better .. more supply the better .. etc for all the rating issues... but how much do each influence

for example, does my in supply low experience same type unit trump a high exp low supply unit? why?
also with the morters sub machine guns machine guns, not really sure what benifit some have.

Obviously a bazoka helps against tanks, and anti tanks guns on the defense against tanks... better tanks kill tanks easier

but the whole picture still is not crystal clear.

Any elaboration would be great.. and yes next stop will be all those nifty charts in the drill down pages of the game itself

GREAT GAME

The car is broken down too, and the front door won't open quite right... back door? It's pointed in the wrong direction from the garage. [:D]
