Strat movement bugs?

Post by Szilard »

With 1.2. This is with an 1914 scenario file which I've tinkered with, so the behavior might be due to that rather than a bug, but has anybody else noticed CP strategic movement not working from around the end of 1915 (or maybe from after Serbia is conquered)?

Specifically, most strat movement orders don't get executed - can't see any particular pattern to what works & what doesn't.

I get some non-moves, but not most.
Often it's only one rail move that fails, so I can't see a pattern.

There's certainly nothing that should produce that.  If you like, just send me a saved game of an impulse where strat movement isn't working and I'll be happy to look at it.

Two issues i have seen with strat movement.

1. When Turkey entered the War, i could move 4 corps per rail from the Turkish border right next to Alexandria (two Corps on the Hex where the HQ is on the Screenshot, the other two on the Hex south of the HQ) taking it the next impulse (held by one corps and maybe a HQ) while another Corps advanced to Cairo by Foot. On this Screenshot you can see that the British Hexes between the Border and Alexandria never changed alignment since i moved right behind them via Strat move.

2. On the Turn that Bulgaria entered the war the TE declared War on Romania and Greece. Romania and Greece came under my control (as CP) yet i can´t use their Railways. Even worse, Bulgarian Forces having to march to the Russian Front on Foot "capture" the Romanian Territory for Bulgaria despite both Countries being on the same Side.

There are supply issues in the Balkans and Mid-east 1.2b6 that screw up movement.
