Found 2 bugs

Post by Xenomath »

I often check the stats of units when in the production overview.
When checking back and forth it happened several times already that the game crashed with an error message when I clicked on the back button in the unit stats screen.
When I tried to reproduce it to make a screen shot, of course it didn't occur during 3 minutes of clicking.

The other bug is not as severe but more annoying. This happens when having selected a formation that is on the same hex with other formations and then doing an action (without leaving the hex). The result is that a different unit is selected while the same unit as before is still shown in the front.
Examples:
- make new unit(NU) in hex with HQ, select HQ-Unit to be the HQ of NU. Now the HQ is in the front but NU is selected. So when I press t now to transfer from HQ to NU, I get the transfer from NU instead. Workaround is to cycle through the units, but it's a bit annoying.
- same when attacking in a similar situation. After the attack the unit that did not attack is selected. I often happened that I wanted to move to the hex I attacked (the 0MP move), but instead moving the wrong unit there and wasting MP...

I hope these descriptions are enough to locate and fix those bugs.
thanks

This particular quirk happened to me too. Once I was aware of it, I clicked the unit stack a few times and then the "unit on top" display and the "unit selected" were in synch again.

Ill add in that ive noticed this myself. Sometimes when I try and transfer from unit to unit on the same tile the game selects the wrong unit. (I had the full unit selected then clicked on transfer to get to the empty unit but instead it selects the empty unit to transfer from.)

Here is another phenomenon I would classify as an error,
but maybe it's just the variance in the randomizer...

This map I got when I made a random map with 90% land.
Mostly water and there was no mountain or river and nearly no forest on it, although I ordered some of those as you can see in the screen shot.

this is variance in the editor. especially if you select mirror image.

thanks Xenomath. i caught the bug in the stats screen. it was caused if you selected a non town hex while in prod view and then went into stats menu. (so you know how to avoid) it will be fixed in next patch!

as for having to cycle throught the units, you can also directly click the units in the hex overview on the right side of the screen.

as for the attacking issue, i will look into it and make sure the first unit selected is a unit which did battle. will be improved in next patch

thanks for the feedback.

kind regards,
Vic
