Would like to have the following house rules that I´ve got in other PBEMs too and have worked very well:

max. aircraft on airfield max. 50*airfield size (+about 10%) eg size 4 = max around 220 planes (around means perhaps 223 but not 238!! )

max. aircraft in sea hex = "around 450" (= 5 Essex carriers or the equivalent size 9 airfield). I know it´s no problem to stack more than 5 carriers in a hex that is 3600 square miles big, this rule is not because realism it´s because of the game engine. And this rule has worked better for me than a set max percentage of CAP. You still can place 1000s of planes around an island but it reduces the effects of the CAP shields for both sides. When you can place max 500 planes on the biggest airfield on the board why shoudl you place 1500 in a sea hex? If the "leakers" will be "too much of a threat" then this rule can be discussed as it makes no sense that every US CV will be sunk later on by attacks of 100 Betties.

Japanese are not allowed to do strategic bombing in China! Far too easy to destroy all the ressources, HI and OIL. Japanese may bomb everything else of Allied territory.

Allied are not allowed to do strategic bombing of JAPANESE OCCUPIED ALLIED territory. This should prevent the Allied player to do suicide attacks e.g. with carriers to destroy some oil facilities (which I´ve seen enough) and for the reasons mentioned under 3. And I don´t think it would have been possible (politically) to burn down all those Japanese held Allied cities like Singapore or others. Allied may bomb everything in Japan, Korea, eastern China, Thailand = everything Japan held at 1941/12/7. If you want to starve Japan, take the bases or sink the ships!

B29 aren´t allowed on naval attack

B29 only on level 6 or 7+ airfields, this should limit them to places that were big enough in real life.

ASW TF max 6 ships

PT boats max 6 at a base (1x6 PT TF or 2x3 PT TF. Not 6 TFs with single PTs!)

no sub invasions

no mini para drops. As many para drops allowed as wished but they should involve at least 500-1000 men at min.

cutting off units only with "real" combat units, not some 10 assault point base forces...

Other house rules can be discussed if needed. Common sense helps most of the time. Want to do an AAR also.

The Allied forces resume their peaceful ways of live.
Only a few TFs are out on the Pacific.

The USAAF PI seems not to be hit too hard....they also will try to disturb the enemy shipping.


ABDA command has moved some forces to Balikpapan, one TF will try to intercept an invasion force near Tarakan.
All ABDA MLs will start with heavy mining missions!!


Singapure:
the enemy seems to land at Mersing!!
all A/C will try to attack this shipping, as will force Z, after that they will move to ABDACOM. All damaged combat ships will move to Ceylon.


India:
Supply convoy for Australia (10AK and 3 TK with 4 PGs ) is loading.
Troops will start to dig in !!!

Aussieland:
the cruisers will move to interception points ( there is an enemy landing at Lae )

NZ:

Then I wonder, why still a part of the austrians consider themselves as Germans, why Austria was an integral part of Germany for 1000 years, why the austrian nobles were the german Emperors for several hunderd years, why the austrians called their new formed land "German-Austria" and considered themselves to be a part of the new formed German republic in 1918...

After loosing the second world war, austria decided to call itself a victim of nazi germany which never wanted the war and never participated in the NS-System. Together with this, one started a reeducation to create a own - specific austrian - national feeling. We see, that they seem to be successful at least for big parts of the austrian people.

But this all doesn't change anything, that the Austrians are part of the german people as ie.e the bavarians or the hesses or the badenser are. This also doesn't change anything, that austria is part of germany as the BRD/FRG is one. Austria is of course no part of the FRG but a souvereign state, but both FRG and Austria are Germany - whether you like that fact or not.

What you call Germany is a rather recent thing - 1871, before that it was a confederation.
Austria was a part of this German Confederation, but it was not a part of Germany - it was a part of the Holy Roman Empire until 1806 ( as were all German city states and Principalities ).
