Has anyone Played the EU in End of a Union?

Yeah I'm getting swarmed by the Russians and the Muslims. AI is on normal. Has anyone won as UN? If so tell me your strategy (please).

(If you have tried it yet, give it a go. Quite challenging.)

I played it once and got hammered. So, my strategy is to come back to this scenario when I can play the game better! [:)]

I played the EU against AI+ and had no problems.
I think the AI can´t handle the way i play.

My tip against the muslims: Artillery (upgrade to II or III). Use units with 15 guns (+8 trucks) !!
Against the russians divebombers(II) with fighter escort. You have to hammer their tanks before you attack.
That´s very important !

I needed 3-4 turns and after that i had the situation under control and stopped the advancing enemy.
Go back the first 1-2 turns and then start your attacks. Prepare by artillery and divebombers. Use rivers for
defensive lines.

Attached a screen with the losses overview. In the end i had i think 80 artillery III in use.
You need also some good fighter cover since especially the russians had a nice amount of planes.

first I backed out of the balkans and let them battle it out for themselves there and against the caliphate I used mass machineguns combined with infantry and I kept the russians at their side of the river by blowning bridges and clever use of my armoured reserves, this was however not the AI+ but just the AI

Thanks all! I am going to try the strategies laid out here. I think I was trying to defend too much at first. Better to give up Spain and the Balkans on the outset I think, and establish a defensive line in favorable terain, and pound with air and gun tubes from the rear. And Production suggestions?

In the start i produced a lot of infantry and masses of PP for R&D. Upgraded my artillery, planes and infantry
as fast as possible.

I've jsut started it as a result of this thread...playing hte AI it's no great bother....I've only upgraded infantry, MG's, mortars and Med tanks.
 
I've lost Madrid and Belgrade, temporarily lost the city between Italy & Belgrade.  The Russians have been stopped on the Vistula, the Caliphate well before the Pyrennes & we've had some good battles around Rome but it hasn't fallen.  Greece is holding easily, supplying itself and has started to produce tanks and artillery for an offensive.
 
My AF consists of 6 unitrs each with 3-4 each fighters and dive bombers.  They have sunk every Caliphate fleet that has appeared, and there seems to be no air opposition so I've stopped producing fighters & they regularly slaughter stacks of Ruskies & fanatics.
 
the EU has about 500 rifle II in reserve.....so I think I might divert some production to PP's!!
