Land mines?

Post by osros »

Im no student of the war in the Pacific, But where there land
mines being use and if so is it modeled in the game.

Can a unit walk into a mine field? and take kills.

Are the land mines placed by the Engineers? And will it
take Engineers to detect and disable land mines.

Sorry if this question was already asked.

Can I venture a guess?

Not speaking officially for Matrix or 2x3, but my understanding is that land mines per se will not be modeled in UV.

But I seem to remember that fortifications can be built for units in a particular hex. So land mines would be part of a hex's fortification level, along with barbed wire, pillboxes, trenches and all the other lovely ways of slowing down an attacker.

I love to know if I'm on base or off base on this educated guess of an answer.

From playing the game some I'd say PBYPilot is correct.
