research?

Commander – Europe at War Gold is the first in a series of high level turn based strategy games. The first game spans WW2, allowing players to control the axis or allied forces through the entire war in the European Theatre.

research?

I am not sure what is happening wrong, but playing as Axis, but about 1940, I dont seem to be developing any research into areas.
I have allocated some focus points into various disciplines, but the progress bars seem to remain at 0%.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Have you bought any labs? [;)]
The focus is the distirbution of your research, the labs are what produce researcg points though so without them you wont progress.

as Axis, I am now guessing that I need to buy labs before doing any other research?

You can't have research without labs. Focus points are just to focus the work of your labs on a research in particular, like Blitzkrieg, subs etc..
