CHS - BigB #192 - HELP!!!

Post by BB56 »

I just installed Big B CHS 192 mod for the extended map and there are no ships showing in the combat animations, nor bomb splashes or smoke. And, when I click on a ship, I get a CTD. I put all the folder in the right places so what did I miss.

My game is installed to f:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific and I placed the 4 ship folders from the CHS_Base_2d.zip file into the ART folder under the main folder. Did I put the wrong folders in the wrong place or did I pull from the wrong zip file?

I tried to post a screen shot of my directory list but could not. How do I do that?

Thanks in advance.

Okay, I think I fixed it.  When I renamed the original folder I put '_orig' after them.  I change this to 'Orig_(foldername) and can now see the ships when I click on them.  Must be something with the way I named the old folders.   Sorry for the panic attack.[:)]

Sorry about the armor there, Big B, but:
I thought I had it fixed, but there are still no ships in the combat animations.  I have them in the ship view screen though.  I checked the folders and they are there, so what am I missing?

under f:\matrix games\war in the pacific\art if have:
AlliedShip_Back - 439 files
AlliedShip_transp - 439 files
JapShip_back - 229 files
JapShipShills_transp - 229 files

These folder and their files were copied over from the CHS_Base_2d.zip file.[&:]

I think the scenario I'm using is v1.4 and the ship art is for v2.0. Is this the problem? If so, should I go back to the Stock ship art files?

Ahh,

Well, the basic problem is that the mod does not use anything that is CHS, even though it does use Andrew's extended map.

When you load up Andrew's map with the mod-select utility, you should choose option#3 (extended map with "stock" graphics).

That should solve all of your problems.
