Long time lurker...

Post by TNick »

Hi there,
Ever since it was announced a few years ago that matrix had bought the rights to the battleground series, i've been forever a 'lurker' on these boards. And now that the release is imminent i'd like to ask a question about the AI. Has it been 'improved' in anyway?, because according to the battleground details..it has. 'Dynamic AI which reacts to the player’s actions rather than following a pre-determined script of events'

Years ago i bought waterloo and gettysburg and even though i'm not very competent i still managed to beat the game. I would just like this clarified please.

Thankyou

I researched this and apparently while the AI was "looked at", it was not improved to the point of being fully dynamic. I'm therefore going to go now and edit that line as it is misleading. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the prompt reply to my question erik, much appreciated. I had my doubts, but nevertheless it won't stop me buying these excellent games again [:)]

You must be sick of these questions because here's another........will the original manuals be available to download.....or are they part of the package anyway?

Thanks again

Hi Nick,

No problem at all, thanks for your support.

We took the original manuals and reworked them slightly into one manual for the Civil War and one manual for the Napoleonic Wars - they are not only in the package as PDFs, but will come printed with the boxed copy. The only exception to this is the Age of Sail manual, which is the original and comes as a PDF only in the Napoleonic package.

Regards,

- Erik
