BG ACW battles favourite graphic styles

John Tiller's Battleground Series is a Hall of Fame lineup of games covering the Civil War and Napoleonic Wars. We've compiled these classic games into two new affordable collections, incorporating updated versions of these legendary titles. Incredible historical gameplay and great value!

BG ACW battles favourite graphic styles

Post by Luciano B »

Since we are eagerly awaiting the release of the Matrix editon of the Battleground series, just to bring us occuped with something related to the BG games, I would like to know what's the favourite graphic style among those used in the 3D views of the different ACW titles.

- BG Gettysburg and BG Shiloh "painted" style
- BG Antietam and BG Bull Run "painted" style (an improved version of the previous style rather than a new one)
- BG Chickamauga "tiled" style (the same used in West Front of Talonsoft's campaign series).

My personal choice goes to BG Antietam/Bull Run style. What about you?

The Antietam style was always my favorite, personally.

I like the Chickamauga style myself. Also NIR and I agree with Bull Run.  But what is really neat to me is PTW. The way they paint the towns.

It seems that BG Antietam 3D map graphics win over the others in the different ACW titles. The 3D maps of PTW are something incredible indeed, such a high quality for a so large map...

I liked BG Chickamauga the best.
