Possibly to get a view of combined Power in a stack

Post by Awac835 »

Hey

On the bigger maps it would be nice to have a button that turns the display from individual top counter power, to display the sum of the power in the stack.

This would be nice if you quickly have to get a idea of where your line is weak. I know ofc units have differences in attack and defence and that the number on the counter dont reflect this. But still it would be nice.

I remember when BIN got this feature and it made it alot easier to maintain overview when the game got big.

You can always use that math your teacher told you you would need one day. Click on a stack and it displays them all on the right.

That's not a very helpful comment and yes, I think it would be a good idea too to have a toggle for this.  It would probably have to lock all of the unit selection to work but it would give a useful view.  Maybe also have soem sort of highlighting of hexes that are over-stacked.

But boy arent you spreading the good mood. Now where is my ignore button....

imo that was a legitimate request. Maybe you live back in the 80's where board games was the norm. But this is 2007 and why shouldnt we use the power of the computer. Ive been playing the 41 russia scenario. Tbh if i was to count every single counter in every single stack of mine and my enemy then i wouldnt have much time to do much else with my life.
I agree its not necessity but it would be a very nice feature on big maps so you could get a quick overview.

and btw im not dizzing board gamers. i play some myself. But since AT is a computer game i think Twotribes ought to wake up.

You do not like my reply? Oh well. Just pointing out that what you want already exists. As for insults I suggest you reread your reply.

Twotribes your answer was just dumb.
Even if you can make 112+83+57+3+48 from head in 1/4 sec, it won't help you figuring out where are the strong and weak points in a front when you look at the map.*That's* this feature is requested... [8|]
Plus it already exists, as this is how stacks are displayed in the replay !

Yes, but this isn´t accurate. Think it´s a good idea to have such a display.
Hopefully Vic can implement this.

Actually rather than have yet another button to click how about displaying the total in the same area where it shows all members of a stack. As much as I've been enjoying this game the one mild critique I have of the game is that the interface requires more mouse clicks to do some things than I'd like.

I had imagined it just game on a hotkey. No need for a mouse button to click.
