New Betatesters announced!!!

Post by Greyshaft »

Well we're still in October so no complaints are expected about the timing of this announcement although I certainly sympathize with comments about four weeks of sleepless nights and fingernails gnawed down to the first knuckle. The following testers are requested to report for duty:

Ballista
doctormm
Flanker Leader
Graf Zeppelin
grisouille
jchstain
Jimm
michaelbaldur
Pzjg. Hortlund
ralegh
Toed

Please PM me (greyshaft, not Steve) with your email address.
I will send the list to Matrix.
You receive an email from Matrix soon with the NDA.
You need to sign and return the document to Matrix by fax or scan/email.

I sympathise with those who missed the cut. There is sure to be another intake (or two) in the future so keep posting in the Forum and helping capitan with his write-ups

For the record, here is how the names were selected:
* 4 were given the nod as reserves after the September intake
* 2 were selected for their help with write ups.
* 2 were selected for their experience as previous beta testers.
* 3 were selected for their inexperience but had shown their interest by repeated recent posts in the forums.

(Yes, there are eleven names - real life caught up with one of the existing testers and he had to retire)

Thanks for the interest everyone is showing in this game.

It would make my life a tad easier if I could send all names in to Matrix as a group. If anyone has contact with the following folk outside of the Forum could you give them a nudge to log in and PM me with their email address.

Graham,

Don't wait for Toed. He told me in advance that he was having troubles with his Internet connection.

If this happens again and more testers are needed, I would love to submit my name. Have played and own WiF, just not many games in the last few years. Also have played with CWiF alot. And was a tester for World at War.

Cheers [:D]

Ten out of Eleven have reported in

Post by Greyshaft »

Steve may zap me with a bolt of lightning from Mount Olympus for saying this I would guess that we'll be looking for a additional testers in early 2008

At that point we will invite applications and ask the existing test team to make recommendations from those who apply.

My suggestions for improving your chances are the same as last time.
1. Be a regular and thoughtful contributor to the MWiF Forum.
2. Offer to help capitan with the unit write-ups.

...or if you life in Hawaii, offer to wash Steve's car

It is in desperate need of a wash - though the car wash is only 1 1/2 blocks away.

There are already a couple of new testers who arrived on the provate forums. They need to have had their NDA from Matrix. Maybe Greyshaft can see what's is happening with yours.

I have yet to receive an NDA (though I have completed one for other Matrix titles) and do not yet have access to the development boards.  Just waiting patiently here.

I was unaware that anyone was having problems with this. I'll get in touch with Karlis Rutkins at Matrix who is in charge of this.

Karlis tells me he emailed you the NDA on November 1st and again today. If you still do not recieve it, send me a PM letting me know status and we'll track down the problem. Usually these problems have to do with spam filters.
