Missing Scenarios?

Post by neuropit »

Hi,

just installed Civil War Battlegrounds,

I love this games, they gave me hours of fun a century ago! [:)]

Maybe the problem is mine, but I have a question: why there are 4 missing scenarios in Bull Run (1,2,9,10) and 8 (!!) missing scenarios in Antietam (12,13,14,16,17,20,23,25)?

It seems like the main program is excluding same "modules" (Blackburn's Ford, Brawner0s Farm, North Map and South Map).

If you launch the bgr.exe and bga.exe you could choose them, but using the "normal" Start New Scenario feature you miss them.

Someone could help?

Thanks

Hm, that's news to me - I'll check it out, but a full investigation may have to wait until Monday once everyone's back in the office.

I checked mine and I am missing them also.

Hi Neuropit, I've noticed that too. My initial reaction was ...... "maybe they're just numbered wrong" ......... but given your knowledge of things, I'd have to revise that approach.

Everything else seems to be in place, though with "Waterloo", the scenarios aren't numbered so it's difficult to tell.

The problem is that given my semi-autistic personality I could not start playing until all the scenarios are there!

[:D]

By the way Kbear was the first to "officially" note the "lost battles".

We're working on it, I don't want to post until I have a definite answer, but whatever the problem ends up being we will fix it.

Glad to hear it. I would rather get the fix all at once. There is plenty to keep me busy.

As well as Antietam, there are missing scenarios for Bull Run too (1,2,9,10).

Any news when these may be fixed Eric ?

The scenarios can be accessed by using BGBR.exe and BGN.exe. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Where is the BGBR.exe?

I only see BGR.exe & BG_START.exe

When I run the BG_START.exe I get a totally different launch window like it wants me to start a campaign or something.

Any help would be greatly appreciate.  Like the rest of you I'm looking forward to a more elegant solution as well.

We are working to solve this ASAP, I'm sorry for the delays, we've just been pulled in a few too many directions. Now that the last release of the year is out we should be able to resolve some of these other outstanding issues once and for all.

That's outstanding news Erik. Thanks for the status update. I am so pleased with the customer care I've gotten throughout the purchase process here at Matrix! Pre-sales I could check the forums, the product pages are well organized, and the sale with digitalriver went great. After purchase support in the forums has been timely and appropriate. Great work during what I can imagine is a very busy season for you guys at Matrix!

My apologies. It is BGR.exe (not BGBR.exe). The BG_Start.exe file is the normal way to go into the game. Going in through BGR.exe lets you access the missing scenarios. Just harder that way and you don't see the scenario descriptions.
