THings missing in manual, questions

Post by serg3d1 »

I've just got AT, and some thing are not clear for me form manual:
1. Zones of Control: What are they, what they affect, how ZOC of enemy and my sides interact ?
2. Replacement. I see that the counters of damaged formation grow with time. Is it their readiness only, due to supply, or their complement - infantry, tanks transferred to them automatically by HQ, the same as supply ?
Or I can restore formations only by manual transfer ?
3. Color of supply layer. In the second training scenario I had seen green area around my tanks, but brown around HQ/city. How it could happen ? Should't area around HQ always have better supply ? Or non-HQ units were supplying one another with stored supply ? Also, while hovering cursor above hexes I see ap/% Is the ap - ap cost of supply from HQ ?
4. Amount of trucks in the subformation. If there is not enough of trucks to transport all units, will trucks becoming completely useless ? Or formation will still move faster, or ave better supply ? If amount of trucks excessive, does it convey some benefits ?

Hi Serg,

1. If you got 4 times more ZOC on a hex then the enemy it will join your side.

2. Supply goes automatic, troops only by manual transfer.

3. Yes ap is cost in action points to move supply from source. The white hex with 0 ap is the source hex from which the layer has been calculated. You can click an empty hex or a units HQ.

4. No the unit "sails" with the speed of the slowest ship. Having more trucks does not have any effect.

Hope i helped you here a bit.

Kind regards,
Vic

Stacking penalties are in section 10.3.2 Crowding, on page 56. Interesting that stacking affects casualty rate more than attack strength.
