So whats the story on the announcement of the new patch direction announcement?[8|]

From what I've been able to put together so far; its official that is not going to be Winds of War, but unofficially its going to be something else. [;)]

Are there any Grognards here?
[subtle laugh]
Well of course their requests for patches was not Grognard in and of it is as it were the Matrix Staff would never have if the Administrator, our Administrator, had not and as far as I know that's the way it will always be... Is that clear?

Great so..., oh...see I...am..ate...for...an import...unch date...so I must go...

[&:]I won't ask ,who, what or when. But an I ask when might be a good time to start looking for a press release? No pressure , just a guess, a hint , a suggestion, ? Do you want us to BEG! Please.........................[&:] ( Just a little hint- a year , a season,?)

Definitely sometime between now and the time the sun burns out and turns into a lump of coal the size of a raisin...

May I point out that this interval is slightly over-pessimistic? As the sun will never turn into a lump of coal (oxygen will always also be involved) especially not one as small as a raisin the given interval is [0;infinity]. I think [0;Universe dies entropy death] should be more correct.

but wat is the winds of war about exactly i never heard of it before

You don't want to hear of it. It was a mini-series, like the Thornbirds if you recall that. I think it ran about 1983 or so and it was basically a movie that was very long, but cut into seperate parts. I can't remember if it was on for consequetive nights or if it was the same day every week for quite a while.

The plot for what little of one that there was, was centered around WWII. I think Mitchum was flying a B17 at one point for example.
[:)]Actually it was a RAF Wellington. He was supposed to be the US naval attache and he goes out for a joy ride. The seires is based on the Herman Wouk book.[:)]

Oh, okay, that would explain why he was doing night bombing. Thankfully I didn't see enough of the series, and even more thankfully never saw any of it again, to recall he wasn't flying it and that though I knew it wasn't a day raid, with hollywood that needn't mean they didn't screw up and put him on a B17.

In a naval uniform? I doubt it...[:D]

That's funny, because I noticed that too. Even with my lack of recognizing uniforms, that did look generally very non-airforce to me, but then again, maybe he was a man for all services; a dive into hollywood mentality. It's not often you will see in the same movie series, a man wearing navy garb and also be in a 4E bomber, complete with an aerial cap.

C'mon, this is Hollywood we are talking about. They have no problem with P-40 jocks flying B-25s off of carriers, so why would they balk at putting a naval officer in the pilot's seat of a B-17? He was probably a gunnery specialist as well...

Ah, I see you anticipated my delayed response.

I have it on excellent authority that "future patches are coming".  What cannot be confirmed is if any of them will be dealing with WITP....

No Mike, that would be coming with two m's.

Charles,
How could you say that about anything that Jan-Michael Vincent was in? Heresey!!!!

Isn´t that the guy who acted in the airwolf series? Oh god, something I watched when I was 10 or so... [8|]

You actually liked a series that had "him" and Ernest Borgnine in it? I agonize for you.

I have hear rumors that there is soon a update for WITP (Christmass?). Has anybody (Matrix Games) some info about this?
(Release date, features, etc)

I hope self that the following is included in this new update.

1. All device slots above 555 work and can be used for both sides.

2. The solution of the Kamikaze problem. I mean that not all japanese airunits covert to kamikaze, or that on start of the scenario the player can choose by
Kamikaze covertions between NO, low, medium, high, all.

Greetings from the Netherlands

I think they have incorporated the Rising Sun game engine so we can fight each land battle in detail.

You may be on to something! That would take more than a patch though.
