Creating a game map?

Post by rickier65 »

Is there a way to dump a map from a game? I'd like to be able to print out a map of a current game.

I'd rather avoid having to past together multiple screen captures.

Thanks

Edit the scenario where you want to use the map, wipe out all units if there's some, then launch a game w/o "shroud" , activate "screenshots", start, quit, et voila you got a big nice jpg of the map [;)]

I'm honored.

Too bad it's not possible to really export/import a map to share it across multiple scenarios...

It's not too hard to go in and rename the scenario, then go into editor, create a dummy regime then remove the original regimes. All the units go away and you're left with the map. Of course, you'll still have all your rulesvars, and other items, you need to go through as well.

And you could always make an overlay out of a map-screenshot you just showed me how to do.

Neither method a one-click solution, but not too bad. I also read about the ability to "chain" or "link" scenrios to create campaigns, I haven't looked into this yet but it might offer another method to "export" an exisisting map.
