Supply Question

Post by Largus_Means »

Where is supply traced from for each country>? Capitals, each city, port cities >? When fighting the Russians around Warsaw I was able to encircle a large ground West of that city. Are these units still able to draw supply from Ivangorod and Lodz? Even though they are now behind my front lines?

Cheers

I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure... It seems city generate some amount of supply by themself I believe. But I cant tell you how much they generate. You can be sure there readiness will be quite long to go back up. but I'm not sure it will fall by itself. But once you managed to make it drop, units are pretty easy to beat up if they have low readiness. Try to shell the defenders in the city and take them. Then just wait a couple of turn and you'll easily take those hex.

All cities have an intrinsic supply value depending on the size of the city.  As long as they have a line of communications back to the capital they're fine.  Once they're cut off that supply value is reduced each turn.  So units in a pocket with a city don't become out of supply immediately.
