T-34???

Post by Paulus Pak »

I'm playing LV scenario "Overcoming the odds", it is node 8 scenario 27 (?) (in lower right corner of the map is written : "N8 - 27"). I have several T-34's on the map (ordinary T-34, not T-34 m40, m41....). I have both patches installed and compaign restarted. It is normal with those T-34 or it is that oob mismatch?

No, there some T34s in the nodes, put the curser over the T34 and see if it is a T34 or a T26 that was missed.

Hi Paulus,

Yes you´re right, "N8-27" is node8 Scenario 27 "Overcoming the Odds". I renamed the T-34/40 and T-34/41 models simply to T-34 for "Fog of war" reasons! At that time of war it didn´t matter for the germans if they actually encountered a T-34 model 40 or 41. Both were tough nuts to crack. Same goes for some of the T-26 name-wise.

Other hint that counts for ALL Lost Victories scenarios: There are many units that are renamed for various reasons. Don´t be careless with just looking at your opponents units by name only! Check always with the "right mouse click" to go safe! ;)

Off course there´s always more than one opinion about renaming units in SPWAW!

Ok, thanx RockinHarry, now it is all clear. But it doesn't make this scenario any easier ;\\\, i got only a draw there.

...as Dubno wasn´t an easy place for the germans originally! In fact the germans got in serious trouble there! Only failed coordination and bad leadership of the soviet mechanized corps saved the germans day! ...not to forget the german airpower. (scenario description!)

Hope you enjoyed the scenario Paulus! :)
