it seems that Bastogne in this scenario isn't an historical crosspoint. Capturing this
town is just one more point in the pocket, in fact you could:

1) reach northern objectives towns through the lines St.Vith/Malmedy/Stavelot/Spa.
2) Go west using StVith/Houffalize/La Roche/Marche....until Dinant/Namur.
3) Drive to the southern bank via Wiltz/Ettelbruck/Mersch...and then Arlon/Luxemburg
4) Go south West via Neufchateau/Bouillon...to Sedan/Mezieres


Probably Gen. McAuliffe could rest for a while...[;)]
