Europe Turn 27

Post by tweber »

October, 1941

The Soviet fleet has parked outside of Helsinki and inflicting high supply casualties. My AF is close enough. I strike hard and take out most of his ships.

This fight will be over soon.
My russian frontline is not longer existing. My western allies can´t help and
have their own problems.

The russian income is about 1/3 of what i would need to fight the germans.
It´s not only the number of troops, but also the experience and tech level.
It´s a fight i can´t win since the axis is so much in front production related.

When i think about that i have to fight 15 (!!) more turns without additional support
with the actual income i really lose my motivation to continue this. I know when i´m beaten [;)]

But as i said that are things coming soon.

This turn i captured Marseille in southern France by fast amphibious invasion. But that is just harassment
without too much importance.

My russians are on the way to lose the battle near Helsinki because the Germans has been able to move in large quantities of fresh troops
after the destroyed my blocking ships.
The fight at Kiev is another nightmare. Fighter protected artillery and high XP offensive troops are near. It is NO fun !

Can somebody here help me with 1000 PP ? That could be a help.....

Is it possible to drop invading forces right on top of a defended spot like Marseilles? Or did you land next to Marseilles then have enough action points to assault it, win the battle, then advance in?

It was a direct amphibious landing after massive shore bombardment.
BUT: There is a big penalty for the attacker, so you have to come with
a bigger advantage in numbers. And without shore bombardment or massive air attacks
i would never try such risky operations.
If i remember right Marseille was only light defended here.
