Now it's too late and I'm moving Base Force units to Korea and re-basing the Air Force.

Today's air strike from the Taiho met almost 100 CAP fighters and the AF at Pagan decided to take a break day despite
clear weather. Only 3 dive bombers got through but all failed to hit the carrier Hornet.

The enemy ships sailed a more south easterly course than we thought they would and our surface interceptors found
nothing but empty ocean!

Nothing else of interest to report really.

Air Reserve Pools August 45

Reserves of critical ac like Shindens, Reppus and Franks is growing.
Even if we loose Shinden production in Harbin we should have sufficient production left to
keeps us supplied. Many smaller factories in the Home Islands are still increasing Shinden production.
I've actually stopped production of Franks for now.

The new oil reserves at Okah will improve our HI production capacity as well.

i can not understand why Andy keeps sending transports to Russia too... perhaps he gathering because he wants Russians in the Home islands too?

Nice work, PzB... it is depressing that you can not conduct air attacks, but i'm not sure that air supperiority would help you a much against Red bear (especially if/when Andy split LCUs)... perhaps IJA and IJN AF will have a better job to do in HI?

Do you know why he is waiting with A-bombs? (perhaps he will drop them just before invasion?)..

And, please, can you count your all Ki-102 airgroups - how many of them you have? Soon i will recive them too, but i don't want to convert too many bomber groups to this FB. They will be quite useful for defending HI skies against B-29 until Andy can add figher escort to Superfortresses and thus will free figher groups for frontline duties...

I think that to correctly activate the Russian and Japanese forces you may need to move a unit over the border on the road to Vladivostok. I remember reading that there were problems in the early release of the game and that was a Dev's 'work-around' to the problem. Could you give it a try?

I will count how many Randy units I got Pauk - still got one light bomber unit with Lily's to expend the last ac.
They're useful interceptors, but as soon as long range fighters arrive they're toast.

There's no reason to hold back the A-bombs - the longer he wait the longer our production centres will remain intact!

Thanx guys, it is mostly the general interest all readers have shown for this AAR that keeps it alive! [:)]
It is a bit demanding to play in 1945 - old bugs is one thing, the challenge is to keep full focus at times.
Andy is doing a great job, but I suspect that he isn't putting all heart and soul into all his turns.

Bombers are sent enmasse to targets without regards for losses and all our isolated bases are mostly left alone, allowing
us to hit unescorted troop and supply convoys at will. If Andy wanted to he could have smashed all these 'nests' in his rear,
kept our forward air bases suppressed and escorted his convoys. As it is our 'victories' are a bit empty, like shooting clay pigeons. Thousands of B-29s are pounding smalls islands from 5-7000 feet while ships are moving in the the Sea of Japan.

At times I wonder if I should just pack it up and call it quits - what else is there to show and achieve?
Right now I'm trying to re-build the Fleet for one last stand.

I take a few days break when I feel that I don't have the motivation to finish a turn 'properly' by going through
the entire routine; checking all squadrons, ships, factories etc. Can easily understand that this is a monstrous task
for the Allies in 45!!  Just the US subs require lots of time to place and move.

Talking about subs, with more than 60% of our ASW assets blasted or busy with other tasks, it would have been a true
menace to have them in our remaining supply and com lanes right now. Fortunately? not a single sub has been spotted lately.

I haven't seen anything of the nuke's yet either, strange....we're just a few days away from the historical VJ day.

Andy is massing a huge army next to Harbin, I can muster a mere 6000 AP + forts. Won't be enough.
Really dislike not being able to fight back properly...
