Yet another unit graphic mod.

Post by Barthheart »

Here's a graphic mode for just the Axis powers. These are based on WWII German iconolgy. Adds a bit of flavour to the Axis side if teh Allies are using one of the "Nato" mods.

but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

Here's a zip file with the graphics. Just unzip into your two Axis SFtype directories.... after backing up the original art of course!

These were inspired by this website:

http://orbat.com/site/ww2/drleo/011_ger ... ls_41.html

and the old board game The Longest Day by Avalon Hill.

Have fun.

They're nice, much more intuitive than NATO symbols, and historic, very good !
Yet the various Inf symbols are a bit too big, there's no space between the symbol and the color bar/insignia, it's a little disgracious and you can't use a white stripe... I suggest you resize (reduce) them a bit so they'll fit better in the counter.[;)]

Glad you like 'em. I always liked these symbols from when I first played Longest Day.... just more flavour.

As for the size. yeah I made them larger to see easier. Never used white HQ colour so didn't even think of that. If you and anyone else who uses them really wants them reduced I'll give it a go this coming weekend.

I would definitely use them if they were reduced a little. I love anything that adds historical flavour to the game!

Finally I got around to reducing these as asked.

Here y'all go. Enjoy.

Thanks Barth!

I am thinking of using these cool icons in a later version of my mod.
