How do I ...

Post by Rik81 »

I am still having problems with Naval creation, Cargoship loading, and Cargoship unloading. Especially the latter. I've stumbled around and got the first two going, but seems like I have to stumble around with it every time.

Could someone give a little "step-by-step". (My pet peeve with manuals, they oft times tell WHAT things will do, but neglect the HOW to do things. JMO of course.

Ships will appear IN the city you build them in, they do not transfer to a headquarters.

To load a ship , highlight the ship counter/unit. Find the load button. click it.

Now find the unit ( in that hex) that your going to load, highlight it. If you have enough capacity the accept button will highlight. Click it.

To unload from a ship move to a port or next to a land hex. Click on the LOADED unit, then click the unload button. Now you have to pick the hex to unload in. Sometimes you will have highlighted hexes sometimes not. You do NOT need a highlighted hex to unload there. Click the hex and confirm the unload.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

Thank you for the reply. I've printed it out, now hopefully with a little practice I can get it going.[&o]

Also, you can't un-load a unit until the next turn.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
