Where did my money go? Pls help!!!

hey guys im very new to this game and i love it so far. ive restarted about 5 times on easy because i am always finding myself running out of money. i know im doing something wrong but idk what. on the monthly income the states start out at 300k and a little bit later they are down to like 18 thousand on some of them. can some one explain to me what causes the state income to change because ive tried everything and looked in the book with no answers. also i was wondering if as soon as a ufo is seen do you shoot it down and go in to clean it up or do you just let it sit there till it goes away?

have u read the early hints and tips by Galactic Origins iin this same area? if not do so.....
 
yep--when u see a ufo shoot it down and go recover it.thats how your soldiers will get experience {which they will need} and it gets u new tech to research......as for money  running out-------it would seem that the aliens are taking over the other states or they are losing confidence in your ablility to protect them. u must do some fly overs to search out thier bases and then kick thier sorry butts out...........build bases in each state---u don't have to put much in them---again read the ----Hints and Tips section.........research all the alien stuff and sell it to make money.....u don't have to hang onto it once it has been researched.................................
