National Coaches Football League seeking owners

Post by garysorrell »

Im starting an 11 man US Rules league with a friend. The specifics are below:

*You must own Max Football. Patched up to 2.18

11 Man
40 Man Rosters
8 Teams (8 teams max, no expansion)
10 Min qtrs
25 Sec Playclock
Sudden Death OT
10 Week Season
US Pro Field
Custom Plays
Games played out CPU v CPU
Blah, Blah

Anyway, what we would like to have is a tightly run little league with 8 good owners, guys who will be involved in their teams operation.

My Co-Commissioner Dave will be the webmaster, and should have a site up soon. I will likely handle the weekly team related stuff, and the playing out of games.

If interested, let me know. Email me at the following address, or leave contact info here.

the_ncfl@yahoo.com

Click my signature link below and I have a wimpy website setup. Just a temp until Dave gets the real one going. Not much there yet, but I will update it shortly.

We would like to run this league as if it were a real world league, at
least as far as Maximum Football allows.
Please choose a 'real world' city, and keep the nicknames reasonable.
Nothing dirty or offensive. Try to stick to nicknames that would likely
be used in the real world.
We also would like to avoid using real teams, ie; Dallas Cowboys or
 Birmingham Stallions.
Not trying to be a pain, we just want to conduct the league as if it were
being started in the real world, with the history of pro football intact as it
 is today.
Some things im planning to do:
I will try and watch the games as they are played, do write-ups on them. Take a few screens.

I may also see about actually recording the Title Game and sending it to the
 owners.

And not immediately, but at some point, I would like to do a weekly podcast
after the games have been played.

That would put us at 5 owners for sure.

If any owners want to do a custom stadium, feel free to do so.

I have most of the unpacked stock ones, and the Merenge stadiums, which are
great. Im also glad to help anyone that needs it with 'tricking out' their
stadium.

Would it be acceptable to build a playbook using plays from FBMax or is the league going to have set plays?

Either way is fine. Build'em from scratch, use the default stuff, or downloads from FBMAX.
