game speed (unit movement)

Post by Merv0728 »

I have just received TOAW & I tried a tutorial scenario with computer V computer but its so fast that it makes it difficilt to see whats going on. Is there on way of slowing things down. I did a search for this subject but the only one I found wasn't really relevant, there was mention of a OPART3.ini file in it but I can't find that file in my TOAW.

Thanks anyone

Unfortunately, not. You could try setting the computer to play only one side, and then you should be able to follow things a little better. Especially if you have the Detailed Combat Reports option set to Yes in the Advanced Game Options. This will stop the action for each combat, and allows you to see what attacked, defended, supported, et cetera, along with casualties. It will still move pieces quickly, but will at least pause for combat and disasters.

Also, if you click anywhere on the screen, doesn't it stop things? You could always do that if if you find yourself falling behind.
