Making a quick "down and dirty" scenario

Post by Deputy »

Is it possible to make a scenario like you can in Steel Panthers: World at War? I would like to make a scenario that doesn't have a bunch of HQ vehicles. Something like a quickly-formed ad hoc Kampfgruppe/Battlegroup. One that was assembled from stragglers and broken-up units. Say two Tirger tanks, 5 MkIV tanks, a couple of Panther tanks, and a few assault guns. Have just ONE commander with the rank of Major or Colonel. This was not an unusual situation, especially towards the end of the war. Thanks in advance for any help.

Absolutely.

The manual gives you a few basic pointers on how to create a scenario.

Basically, it is a three step process.

Open the ORG Editor, add the units that you wish to participate in the battle saving the results to a file (test.org)

Open the Map Editor, create a new map of the battlefield you wish to battle one (test.map)

Open the Scenario Editor, takes the test.org and test.map file and combines them, allowing you to set up the scenario as you see fit. The save file is a new scenario file (test.scn)
