Man is this board dead!

Yesterday my six DD ASW TF was attacked by a crazy IJN sub commander on the surface. After fairly wrecking one of my DDs with gunfire the Jap slipped back under with nary a scratch. All of my shots missed.

We are about one year into our game and after a very quiet period (and boring) where we both were recovering from the massive naval battles of the first few months, the action is beginning to heat up again. I just moved to take Green Island, south of Rabual and my opponent is contesting it. For the first time, I am seeing a lot of Japanese subs and they are giving me fits.

It is a different game but I find WPO to be very enjoyable.
