Misleading Range Circles

Post by MarkShot »

I have set up a formation with an 80nw diameter. However, it appears that the range circles which are displayed when my radar goes on intermittently are simply measured from the geometric center of the formation rather than representing the pattern which each formations ship provides.

I presume that this is only a visual affect and that actual radar detection is still being checked on a per ship as opposed to per formation basis, correct?

I think this is one of the reasons why H3 does not show range circles for formations, correct?

Well, if the range cirles are being simplified from the center of the formation, then I will add a wishlist entry asking for actual range pattern being used by the game to be displayed.

Thanks.
