? hand card and bomber recall

In War in Europe scenario I recalled bombers and they showed up in manchester.. then I recalled 2 bombers and they where off board in a recalled but not deployed mode, then I was able to re deploy these heavies as strategic.. can u only brin onto the board groups of five?

I wonder that the recall (to the map for the bombers) is still possible !
I tried in my last game against Vic, but was NOT able to recall them to Manchester. Only the reserve card was available
Thought Tom changed something here in one of the many updates and i missed it.
 
What you call "off map" is the "reserve"-mode, the strategic units are still there, but deactivated and out of range for the enemy.
Not used. So Bombers in reserve will not cause damage, but they are also safe for enemy interceptors.
 
Better Tom explains this in detail since he wrote these routines. I´m only a user [:D]

ok, I understand, but five showed up on the map, and then two went into and out of reserve.. was wondering if I missed a delay turn or some other oddity...

You can only bring units on to the board in groups of five.  The challenge is that you have to go an 'addunit' exec and call a specific pre-defined unit.  I did not want to make alot of units so I chose to do this in groups of 5.

seems right, just making sure I was notscrewing up something! I is nice to bring these in.. fyi, geramn can save one pp by buy fighters interceptor at twenty and returning to germany from strategic as oposed to buying fighters for twenty-one.. all h/c.

Why stuck ? When you bring them on the map instead of putting them on reserve you had your reasons [;)]
Means you stopped the strategic "virtual attacks" to the opponents PP base income and start to attack the real production (Paris etc.)

I just have to repeat. In my game vs Vic i was NOT able to recall my bombers. That card was not available in my whole game even i have more than 30
Bombers in the game. I was able to put them in reserve, but had no card to bring them back on the map.
Hope that function has no bug or something....

That is strange. I just ran and was able to recall bombers. The game checks your bomber count at the start of the turn. If you have more than 5, you get the recall card. I just ran, see the attached below.


Also Freeboy - It should cost 1 pp to 'recall interceptors;. The one pp is the price of the counter so the transaction should be economically neutral.

Just reloaded a old turn from my game against Vic.
At this tim i had 7 bombers in reserve. Ordered them back to service and then tried to recall,
but i don´t get the card. Get only the card to recall my 70 DD´s.
You may note i had only 2 arrival hexes left, But London and Manchester was still in my hands....

And i don´t think i did something wrong here. Just bought 5 more (so 12) and i still did not get the
recall-card for the bombers.
We played 1.02b (at least i did....). Version we played i hope "j", but Vic started the game.

Now you know the facts, maybe you find the problem. DD recall yes, bomber recall no.
Lol, probably a hidden "don´t give seille bombers"-feature [:D]
