European Diplomacy

Post by Ande »

Is there enough playes out there for the 9 player european diplomacy scenario? consider that we'll probably would be done at about summer and experience several dropouts(we can hopefully find replacements for these), anyone up for the task?

If we play with alot of people.  We might want to do this with fog of war off and no passwords.  If we do have a password and someone falls out, the game is stopped.

Also interested but I am a complete newbie so I would prefer one of the smaller powers.

As for falling out, is there no way to allow for AI takeover?

Better to play with FOW and with PASS I think ... we all can send our password to anyone and if anybody falls out, we can open his part and surrender his country ...

Why would I want one of those things?  I can barely see the screen and hit the right keys as it is let alone with a midget version!! [:'(]

There are nice 17" screens though. Personally I use a 15.4", I actually think the game looks better on that one than my desktop.
Could be the very nice HP screen though, it's awesome.

Won't be any point then - I'll get a nice new one myself when I win it! [:D]

My point is that telling people to buy new hardware generally jsut pisses them off....it pissed me off....like I have a spare $1500-200 at this time of year...

Point taken. Though, they are quickly becoming very cheap.

I hope we can manage a few turns per week after holidays at least.

If there's still room, deal me in.

three more slots¨available
I was thinking that FoW would be nice, it would require each player to gather intellegence on their own about others intentions, force configurations and upgrades and create some sort of market there this kind of information is shared. Troop concentrations could for example be very interesting to some players (that isn't reconing enough on their own) and migt even pay some PP to know about it. It would create further depth in the game, not only adding politics but intellegence too

As for dropouts, I thought we might aswell play whitout passwords scince we're all gentlemen here. any playes droping out will be temporarily replaced by a player in the game that has freindly relations to the dropout(i.e not at war) and then we'll post that a slot is open and request someone to step in to permanently replace the slot
