Marshall, I'm enjoying the game very much. Just wanted to note the following odd occurrence:

France is at war with Britain, Spain and Russia. (I am Russia, the rest are AI.) The French fleet is blockaded at Brest by a combined British and Spanish fleet. Russia lands a corps at Brest, besieges, and moves into the port. Then I can't see exactly what happens, but the report screen says the French fleet tries to leave, is defeated, and is scuttled--all as it should be.

But when I look around afterwards, the British and Spanish fleets are gone, too. I checked carefully to see if they had gone anywhere else, and even entered the peace conditions screen to see what fleets could be demanded from Britain or Spain if they surrendered in a war. They're just gone. Britain has remaining only the fleet that was in the Channel and didn't engage in the battle. Same deal for Spain.

These would be in the save game dir and would be two files (GAMENAME.sav.da and GAMENAME.sav).
