Joe D. ... don't get me wrong. sure I have bought more games since I bought WITP. I did. It's just that back then I used to buy one or two per month, now I buy two/three per year, those that I know are -really- worth it, and if I can get them in low price offers, all the better...

but as for great gaming experiences matter, really there are few (if any) games that come to my mind when compared with WITP. The other games I've eventually stopped playing sooner or later...WITP I still am avidly playing four years and a half after it's release. If that doesn't mean this is the ideal game for me, nothing will ;)

I'll probably buy it, unless actually it is one million dollars when I may have to give it a miss [:D]

I was more likely to buy computer games when I could return them in and get something back, but now that practice has ended in retail stores here, so I'm just more careful re new purchases, unless the price justifies taking a chance on a new title.

In this case, you should have a good idea by Summer just exactly what you are being offered for whatever the price turns out to be (as an "expansion pack" my guess is around $35---but "guess" is the key word. At that price it looks like it should be worthwhile.)

I'd pay (and i WILL pay) everything it's needed to bring home that product!

Well, even if it cost 100 euros...just try to compare...how many dinners in restaurants you pay with 100 euros?? 2, possibly 3...not more...How many sweaters do you buy with 100 euros? not many for sure, even if you buy 'em on the sunday markets... So eat less, dress your old sweaters from the high school and buy witpAE![:D]

Okay, Andy, you're a scot... you need to figure into that the fact that you most likely stayed sober during all that work on AE, so you can subtract the cost of all the booze a scot would normally drink in those 1500 hours as money saved...[;)]

I really like what Ive read about AE however if they arent released as a package deal then I can't see myself paying the same price for both. WITP is an expensive game as it is.

What I would like to see in a boxed copy:

The game on DVD of course!
Detailed game manual, in color.
Large wall-sized planning map!

I'd pay $75-100 for it.

Oh, your memory is very good! Yes, after the Law College i've been working as a fashion consultant for a fashion company for a year and a half and at the same time i kept on practicing at the "superior law school". Then i abbandoned cause i couldn't stand anymore doing 2 different jobs at the same time, i concentrated myself on Law and in the last year i passed the two examinations that lead to the lawyer title.
No more fashion in my life i think[:-]

True. I'd like to see a package deal but I'd imagine many on these boards would not be impressed by that idea.

I'm debating getting another copy of WitP for my girlfriend so I'm kind of torn about whether or not to wait for AE and any package deal.

Have to upgrade my PC for AE too.

Whatever we pay, probably in the year after the release there will be a WITP GOLD  that contains WITP and AE bundled together for the same price as WITP used to be.....assuming the model follows that of other popular games.  Then a year after that, they will do a Platinum that also includes WPO in the bundle....

I mean, isn't that how it is supposed to work based on the marketing approach done by other companies.

If so, I should be finishing my most advanced PBEM right about the time the platinum bundle comes out.

If the cost comes in under $500.00 it will still be a better deal time-wise than my latest purchased toy: a new Glock 23, but the time-cost ratio will be MUCH better. AND I won't have to clean AE after every use either.
