AI takes over Human controlled.

I'm in a game that's been running fine so far.
I'm playing single player as spain, at war with Turkey,
but as soon as I press end phase at the Land Combat phase it seems the game just turns spain into an AI controlled nation and the game just plays on without me.

I've reloaded the auto-savegame a few times and the same thing happends every time.
