I've been wanting to play this one for awhile, looks like fun.

I played the Axis versus jjdenver and lost. It is very hard for the Axis to win if you make any early mistakes in production/research... at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it![:D]

You´re wrong here Bartheart.
Russians are the third side, but they don´t become active before fall of Paris.
 
In most games the western player plays the west and the russians.
At least in the games i played so far here.
