Next Battle....Preview of the Map for Winter Rage

Post by Orzel Bialy »

Hellcat,
If we are going to do a Russian Winter Battle...here's a little map I did a while back and just "freshened up" some tonight so that it would meet the requirements we laid out earlier.
If you have already choosen a map...don't worry about this one then...we'll go with what you have. This one can be for general use by anyone on the board who might want to use it then.
Let me know what you think. The victory hexes and Reinforcement/retreat hexes would have to be put in...but other than that its a pretty much ready to go.

sure let's do it! you want to set it up? you German me Russian dar? say 6220 pts, 3 air sections max, 15-20% arty max. Let's just have VH with no retreat hexes (after all the hex problems there's been lately!) although am not getting that error message anymore in my new game with Goblin :) you take player 1 and send me the setup...

Arty %

Let us say no more than one battery of arty and keep this puppy a ground war death match!?!? :D
I'm fine with the Air sections at three and no retreat hexes. OK, let me place the VH's, set the preferences and get this fired off to you.

Hellcat...how about we leave the heavy arty to one battery a piece and tubes up 10-15%. That way the realism of the Soviet love of Mortars can be accurrately portrayed if so wished?
Let me know what you think about that...the map is done...I'll await your reply before I buy my side though.

One battery of tubed artillery....or 2 if under 75mm.
The rest can be up to 20% ( Mortars / Stationary / AFV-based Rockets / SPA )

Ok...let me do the set up and mail it to you. Back in a bit
