Yes, but he must be running out of bombs in India, considering the fact his bombers are throwing torpedoes, during the attacks on Karachi airfields.. [:D]

RE: I Return !
Well Honda is making it rain in India at the moment. The sky is black with his bombers and I am starting to run out of defenses. [:(]

For reasons beyon my comprehension, Raver still keeps his modern fighters in Ahmadabad. Without bombers from Karachi they almost useless. My second line fighters are proving very useful due to their range and are performing surprisingly well. Defences in India are strong, and the long avaited British push is still on halt since I'm denying them control of air space over my front lines.

IIRC in their game the Oscar II stats were changed little bit so it is not such a crap plane as in standard stock..

Since Raver has been silent about this, I'll post the recent developments.
Transition into '44 didn't go well for Raver's navy air force. His CV detachment raided Wake for 2 consecutive days. The defenders, although flying outdated fighters, gave Hellcats a bloody nose, courtesy of amazing pilots

For more than a week I have been tracking Raver's TFs assembling in the ocean off Australia's coast. There were a couple of raids there by his CVs, hitting a few aircfart on the ground and a couple of ships evacuating supplies and resources. By now, some 10 days after first transport TFs have been sightet leaving New Zealand, a HUGE aramada has been formed in front of my eyes.

Present conclusion is that the Wake raid was a probing/diversionary attack aimed at drawing my attention away from the obvious. This is too big to be anything but an operation most vital to Raver. As such, it demands my proper attention.

Well the 17th of Jan '44 was a good day for the ol' Raver. Hero Honda has lost over 230 aircraft in air to air combat. In one raid he sent a force of bombers to hit Ahmadabad with out fighter escort. Needless to say he got is head handed to him of a plater !

Australia
Here is a current map of Australia which shows what is happening. Generally speaking Honda has freely given up all of the East Coast but is looking to pick a fight North of Adelaide to keep the road open to Darwin.....Now that I know that it is the Northern ports that he is intending to flee from, I will now concentrate my subs in that area.

This is an interesting post. I thought that I would show you all what the current losses to date are. While his shipping losses are only 1/3rd of mine there are creeping up at a steady rate. My blockade of the Home Islands is at last starting to show some results.

RE: Intel Screen
One of the interesting things about the above intel screen is the very high number of Operatinal losses that Honda's forces have suffered. I have no idea why this is as my sortie rate is nearly double his yet his op losses are four times higher than mine. Anyone got any ideas?

Well, ops losses in the game come from missions/transfers at long range, small airfields (at least undersized for the planes), battle damaged a/c not making it back, maybe weather (don't know), maybe pilot skill (don't know) - think vigorously training new pilots, and just plain chance.
Or, his maintenance guys could be on strike...[X(]

RE: Intel Screen
Japanese planes suffer from op losses more then their allied counterparts. Especially if japanese player is training his green pilots on ground attack, then the op losses climbs up significantly. For example in my game I´m in mid 43 and I have lost 650 Nates and 350 Claudes so far. 99% are ops losses and as I use this crap planes only for training in China I can say that it is nearly 1000 obsolete fighter planes I have lost just because of such training. The same works for bombers. It is another 800 planes lost because of training. My total op losses are about 2000-2500 planes higher then my allied counterparts and 80% of this difference are planes lost during the training.
I´m training my AF from the first day of war and I can´t remember a day, when I had less then 5 ops. I would say my average is 8/day when there is NO real combat..
From your CR I can see that Honda is training in China too and so he pays the same price in higher op losses as I do. His op losses are 3000 planes higher then yours and my bet is that 80% of these losses are caused by his training..

One of the interesting things about the above intel screen is the very high number of Operatinal losses that Honda's forces have suffered. I have no idea why this is as my sortie rate is nearly double his yet his op losses are four times higher than mine. Anyone got any ideas?
I've found the same thing in the early part of my game. However as the war has moved into mid 43, the Allies have started to lose more than the Japanese. The side flying 'offensive' missions is flying further than defensive mission, although they both count as a sortie. Aircraft damaged when flying at a distance have a higher chance of suffering an accident that goes down as operational loss rather than A2A or Flak but aircraft damaged whilst on CAP almost always land OK.
