Starshatter on IBM T42

Guys,

Just recieved a used T42 and was curious as to if I could load and run this game on the machine. Well, it load fine but doesn't run. When I click play it simply crashes before loading.

My first inclination is simply that the game exceeds the capabilities of the machine regardless of settings, which is understandable as the T42s are older business class machines. But I figured I would ask just in case there may be something I don't know of that is causing the error. Willing to make minor adjustments if that's all thats needed.

Of interest, Shader 9.0c wouldn't load either. Perhaps another limitation of the machine.
