There are absolutely no Vista problems that I know of, and your problem may not be Vista related, though it could still be Microsoft's fault! Can you please post details of the error message in the support forumand we'll check it out as soon as possible.

I have been running it on Vista since the first day the game came out without any problems. The only difficulty I had was loading the game. The zip file would not open. Vista said it was not a proper zip file. I redownloaded it and presto the problem was gone.

That is not OS related, sounds like a broken download.

Could you please post a DirectX dialog file?

Did you try any of the compatibility modes Vista features?
