TrackIR Support, Fact or Fiction?

Post by DragonLady »

Okay, according to the TrackIR website it's supported by Starshatter, but I can't get it to work. I updated my game list in the little TrackIR utility program, starshatter is now listed, and I tried it in padlock mode as suggested on the TrackIR website, but it doesn't want to work.

Searching the forums has shown me that there are other people having the same problem, but no clear solution. One post suggested that it only worked if the game was loaded from one of the two exe files, but I've tried both and while the game loads fine it does so without letting me use my headtracker. Has anyone actually gotten it to work? Any suggestions on what to do? If it helps any I'm running 5.01. Thanks.

If I am not mistaken patch 5.02a added the TrackIR support. However 5.02a also seems to cause a game crash when assault missions are selected. I do not have TrackIR so I reverted back to 5.01 to avoid the crashes.

TIR works in 5.02, but is unplayable since assault missions crash the game.
