A couple of Navy issues

Post by BoerWar »

I looked back a way and didn't see any similar so here are more possible navy bugs (maybe 2);

During the GB Naval phase I moved my combined fleet (about 7 units w/ Nelson attached) to attack the combined fleets of Spain and France. I were testing to see if 3rd party combat could get us around the known bug. It didn’t, I got the same result where it wouldn’t let me select attack.

Possible bug one: when I tried to undo my move it wouldn’t let me. I had to continue moving each fleet out individually expending additional movement. The error report I got was “move not allowed”.

Possible bug two: for some reason Nelson got stripped off the fleet he was riding on in the area where the enemy fleets were located (I’m pretty sure I didn’t order him to detach). The only way I found to get him out of there was to send another fleet from blockage duty into the area, attach Nelson to it, and then sail him back to friendly waters.

BoerWar,

Yes, looks to be a conflict there. Currently, the program takes your commitment to attack as final and does not want to release you from it, but is still allowing you to use the available movement points to leave.

The second problem (Nelson becoming unstacked) is a compounded problem base on the first.

Btw, whenever you wish to undo a naval stack move, you should click the stack move button and then “undo move” button in order to move them back as a stack.

In any event, this bug has been logged.

Thanks again.
