Captured Supply?

Gary Grigsby’s World at War is back with a whole new set of features. World at War: A World Divided still gives complete control over the production, research and military strategy for your side, but in this new updated version you’ll also be able to bring spies into the mix as well as neutral country diplomacy, variable political events and much more. Perhaps the largest item is the ability to play a special Soviet vs. Allies scenario that occurs after the end of World War II.

Captured Supply?

Post by Lucky1 »

What happens to surplus supply in a zone that is captured? From what I can observe, it simply disappears. I think it might be interesting to have it (or perhaps a portion of it) be "captured" by the advancing forces (in land zones). This would make it somewhat "risky" to have too much supply in a relatively unguarded area. Too, it would make it possible for one to consider offensives in the hope of capturing supply that was in an area (i.e., Hitler's ill-fated Battle of the Bulge). I do not know whether this can be modded or not, but I am curious as to what others think.

Cheers,

I always thought this would be an interesting addition. Perhaps a die roll for each supply in the captured teritory with improved odds for capturing supplies if you attack with paratroops or Armor. Maybe 33% or so chance with arm/ para and 20% without.
