How long does it take for you to play one turn of Fire in the East on average?

Too long. Seriously though to do justice on opening moves as axis I have spent probably 6+ hrs. trying to get everything just right.

That's far too long!

So basically all of the massive scenarios in TOAW takes forever too play? How about scenarios such as Kasserine Pass?

Well FitE is pretty exceptional.  Takes me about 9 hours to play the first turn well, then 4-5 hours after that.  But there are really only 2-3 scenarios that take that long to play.  Kasserine pass is probably 10-15 minutes max.

Also depends on the side you play in FitE. As the Soviets, turns take less time than the Germans through the first hundred turns.
Make wargames, not war.
